I have to say I have been using this for some time and I have not noticed and residue taste on any of my items. I do however use the hottest water in the soak then wash them. I hope that you are able to figure it out! Hi Marie! I have to say I have been using this for some time and I have not noticed and residue taste on any of my items. It seems that it leaves the taste of the fragrance on the plastic, and then pretty much on anything I put in it to eat. I wash my coffee pot and basket daily and noticed the taste there first. Now I notice it on pretty much any plastic. And it doesn't need to be soaking that long. And it doesn't matter how long it gets rinsed either, or how hot the water, and I hate to be a water waster. I just wondered if anyone else noticed this besides me. It cleans great, but dealing with the taste of it in my food is almost becoming enough to make me quit using it. Am I the only one noticing this? PS My ceramic dishes and metal pots and pans don't seem to have an issue.
