Yes, that is right!  No Pepsi, No Coke!  I am done with both of them.  I went to the store to get milk, bread and pop.  WTF literally came out of my mouth when I saw what they were charging for pop.  $7.99 for a case of pop?  $4.79 for a 12 pack?  It isn’t like anyone actually has a loyalty that strong to one brand or the other.  How many times have you gone out to eat, asked for a Pepsi and they say we only have Coke?  What do you say?  “Okay.”   I remember when 2 liters went to $1.  I was like damn, that’s high  Now it seems like $1 for a 2 liter is cheap.  I don’t deny any company a right to make a profit, but when I look across the aisle and there is a generic pop for $2.48 a 12 pack, I know that I am getting screwed by these 2 large corporations.  I just went to the Coke site and they said that the formula for Coke is from 1886.  I guess they aren’t using those profits for R & D. I used to drink regular pop.  Then when I started a diet, I switched to diet pop only.  It tasted funny, but I got used to it and now regular pop tastes weird.  So what did I do when I was at the store?  I walked across the aisle to the generic shelf, grabbed three 12 packs of different flavor diet generic pop and I will learn to like them.  So I bought 36 cans of a different brand instead of 24 cans of their more marketed brand.  I win.
